Digital Download Terms of Use

A Message From Our Blood-Sucking Vampires, Also Known as Lawyers

We love small shops, spooky people, music fans, and anyone helping The Bride & Cryptones haunt new speakers. These terms are not here to ruin the party.

They are here to make sure our music is enjoyed fairly, purchased legally, and not copied, shared, uploaded, resold, or used by giant corporate crypts without permission.

In plain English: enjoy your downloads, play them for yourself, and if you run a small independent business, you may be allowed to play them for your customers under the small business permission below. Just don’t feed the files to the internet, the algorithm, a chain store, or a lawyer after midnight.

These terms apply to all digital downloads purchased from The Bride & Cryptones, including singles, EPs, albums, digital booklets, lyric sheets, artwork, and related files.

Personal Use

When you purchase a digital download, you are buying a personal-use copy of the file. You may download it, store it on your own devices, and play it for your own personal enjoyment.

You may not copy, resell, upload, redistribute, share, transfer, or make the files available to others, including through file-sharing services, cloud folders, social media, message boards, or public download links.

Small Business Playback Permission

We allow small independent businesses with fewer than 30 employees at a single location to play purchased The Bride & Cryptones music on their premises as background music for customers and staff.

This permission is intended for small businesses such as independent coffee shops, salons, barbershops, bookstores, small retail shops, studios, and similar local businesses.

This permission does not apply to large companies, chain stores, franchises, supermarkets, big-box retailers, malls, hotels, casinos, gyms, national brands, regional brands, or businesses with 30 or more employees at a single location.

This permission may be revoked by us at any time, with or without reason, and without prior notice.

This permission does not allow copying, uploading, redistributing, selling, remixing, sampling, broadcasting, livestreaming, syncing with video, using the music in advertising, or making the files available to customers or the public as downloads.

Larger Businesses & Chains

Larger businesses and commercial organizations must contact us for written permission before using The Bride & Cryptones music in any public, commercial, promotional, or customer-facing setting.

This includes, but is not limited to, chain stores, franchises, supermarkets, big-box retailers, shopping centres, hotels, casinos, gyms, national brands, regional brands, corporate offices, and businesses with 30 or more employees at a single location.

Political & Campaign Use

Political candidates, campaigns, parties, advocacy groups, unions, non-profits, and public officials may use purchased The Bride & Cryptones music for ordinary campaign, event, office, or background playback purposes, provided the use complies with these terms.

This permission does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, or support by The Bride & Cryptones, its songwriters, McCrash Records, or any associated rights holder.

We reserve the right to refuse, restrict, or revoke permission for any political, campaign, or advocacy use at any time, with or without reason. This includes, but is not limited to, use by groups, campaigns, or organizations that promote hatred, political violence, discrimination, genocide, totalitarianism, forced political conformity, the removal of democratic rights, or the targeting of people based on protected characteristics.

Political and campaign use does not allow copying, uploading, remixing, sampling, editing, broadcasting, livestreaming, syncing with video, using the music in advertising, or implying endorsement without prior written permission.

No Transfer of Copyright

Purchasing a digital download does not transfer copyright, publishing rights, master rights, artwork rights, trademark rights, or any other ownership rights.

All music, artwork, lyrics, branding, characters, logos, and related materials remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use our digital downloads for:

Resale, redistribution, or file sharing

Uploading to streaming platforms, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, podcasts, or other public platforms as standalone audio

Remixes, samples, edits, AI training, or derivative works without written permission

Commercial advertising, video synchronization, film, television, games, apps, or promotional content without written permission

Public use by large businesses, chain stores, franchises, or companies with 30 or more employees at a single location without written permission

Making the files available to customers, employees, subscribers, members, or the public as downloads or shared files

Violations

Any unauthorized copying, sharing, resale, redistribution, commercial use, or other violation of these terms may result in the termination of your permission to use the files and may lead to legal action.

In less formal terms: please don’t make us unleash the blood-sucking vampires sometimes referred to as lawyers.

File Problems

If your downloaded file is corrupted, incomplete, or fails to open, please contact us at info@thebrideandcryptones.com and we will provide a replacement file.
